Loop introduces "Hard Pressed", a fresh new night with plenty to get excited about.  With a blend of Electro, Tech House, Dubstep and whatever we care to get our hands dirty with, it’s sure to make an impact. "Hard Pressed" makes its debut showcasing one of Melbourne’s most popular DJs, Katie Drover.  Along with a set from Hot Wrist, and the Port Authority DJs added to the mix. Each month, animators from all around the world create a short animation upon a given topic which is then screened and voted upon by the audience. Martin’s life is turned upside down one morning when he goes to the aid of a young woman being beaten by a man with a gun. In a matter of seconds, the shooter attacks Martin and murders another man also trying to help diffuse the situation. While recovering from the experience, Martin must deal with the enormity of the consequences arising from the incident and his feelings of guilt over the death of the other man trying to help.   Starring Colin MacPherson, Gail Beker, Adam Pritchard, Glen Hancox and Paola Ly.  Directed by Ben Warner

Die Pretty in collaboration with new media artist Angela Barnett are proud to present Monster Mash: Pushing Up Daisies. Inspired by film noir and B-grade schlock horror this unique catwalk installation will scintillate all 6 of your senses. Utilising multiple projection screens, soundscape and the hottest spring threads, Monster Mash will unleash Die Pretty's Spring/Summer 09 collection.
SATURDAY 6 SEPTEMBER:  PICKLED BEATS 11pm
Serving plates of carefully selected produce designed to please the most discerning of aural gastronomes. A gourmet delight that's guaranteed to make you scratch your pants and move your feet. This is a dish best served loud, and eaten standing up.  Zanda will be supplying entrée’s coming in all shapes of fatness - funk from deep to dusty, fun-ass hip hop and delicious grooves.  Mains will be served by DJ Lickweed, fulfilling all your cravings with a blend of the essential hip hop ingredients, old and new, coupled with generous scratchings.  The Sweet Desert is Paul's area of expertise. Martini on rocks is always accompanied by spinning platters of fresh-sliced beats and marinated electro.  We hope you enjoy this culinary experience brought to you by those who know: "the best beats are pickled beats."
