Each month on the last Tuesday, animators from all around the world create a short animation upon a given topic which is then screened and voted upon by the audience. The winner receives fame and glory... and gets to choose the next month's topic. All animation styles & ability levels are welcome. Just entertain us! This months topic - Outer Space.

Fly around the world with us and make a difference to children in Cambodia. Join us for a night of beautiful music by DJ sista Zai, cultural performances and an eclectic mix of local and international short films as we journey across the world while still focusing on issues close to home. All funds raised will go towards 'Carpets for Communities', a women empowerment and child education program. Come along for a great night which infuses support for both the local art scene and international community development; not to be missed!

‘Tales from the Undergrowth’ is a night of three book launches by authors from the independent publisher and art collective Undergrowth. The night will feature readings and performances to launch three books by Undergrowth authors, ‘Portals’ by Tim Parish, ‘ALUC(i)NA’ by Benjamin Wild and ‘Mercury’ by performance poet Si as well as spoken word by conscious hip hop artist Hugo, and spoken word by Aime Lou and Tariro. The night will also features short films from artists featured on Undergrowth.org including indepeNdent filmmaker Darius Devas, Melbourne video artist Nestora, Verb Studios (aka Tim Parish) and Jim Batts.

‘Start Burning’ is the latest release for Zac Keiller. Following his recent U.S. debut release ('Unrefined' through the Gears Of Sand label) and a slew of self and split releases with international and Australian artists, this marks his first release for local imprint Iceage Productions. 'Start Burning' is a departure from Keiller’s past works, which have mined the spheres of solo, layered, effect drenched guitar tones. Whilst featuring his reknowned drone pieces, 'Start Burning' strips back on effects to create a stark and minimal instrumental rock sound. Zac Keiller launches Start Burning with a special early show with suppport from special guests Tarcutta and Great Earthquake. Doors 5pm / $8.00 entry.
