Ever wanted to be a lyrical vandal but knew you weren’t cut out for actual graffiti?
Melbourne’s spoken word performers have overcome the complications of spray paint and precarious legality to leave their mark on the CBD, mapping the city in poetry. They’ve created audio paste-ups of epic loves lost, recorded their hearts and left their stories like invisible murals against the city walls. Supported by the City of Melbourne, these audio poems will be launched as a part of the Melbourne Overload Poetry Festival 2010. Performers include: Alicia Sometimes, Steve Smart, Ezra Bix, Eleanor Jackson, Randall Stephens, Bella Li, Meaghan Bell, James Jackson, Maurice McNamara, Anna Fern, John McKelvie, Lish Skec and Maxine Clarke.
